When The Scene DMV speaks to the various artist in a while, we draw from them much more than the 3 to 4 minute pieces for the final edit. Some things that these artist say don’t make the final cut, which is why the Cutting Room Floor was created.

A while back when we sat down with the talented Quique Aviles, he dropped knowledge on many-a topics. This portion on gentrification didn’t make the final interview piece, but it was a raw take on what is happening in D.C. and many other major U.S. cities that made this something we wanted to share.
